I know this sounds noobish, but what is it? I searched but I could only see threads about people wanting to buy rot items.

Rotscale farm.


People only farm it for his bow which can net a easy 15-20k

i farmed rot really long time ago hes a boss in tyria you farm witha few people to get the rotwing bow , everyone starting farming him after a june 2006 update. it just added a few new items like totem axe and the rotwing recurve bow. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Rotwing_Recurve_Bow

this is easy to do with a healer a bonder a tank a nuker and a ss necro
(be sure both the ss and nuker leaves cuz it took me over 40 minutes without the ss)
